India’s Independence Day is celebrated all over the country on the 15 th of August every year on a grand scale, the celebrations at Delhi being the grandest. The celebrations in Delhi begin with the prime minister’s addressing the nation from atop the majestic Red Fort followed by massive parades of the police and armed forces. The whole city bathe in tricolor on the day and people, irrespective of cast, creed, religion or background, proudly sport tri-colored balloons, stickers,
