Day 03 DELHI-BHUBANESHWAR
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to domestic airport
to board flight to Bhubaneshwar. Assistance on arrival transfer
to hotel. Overnight at the hotel
Day 04 IN BHUBANESHWAR
Morning after breakfast Sightseeing tour of the Temple city
of Bhubaneswar, which have some finest Temples – Lingaraj
Temple, Rajrani Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, Parsurameshwar
and Brahmeshwar Temple. These temples are some of the best
specimens of the Orissa Temple Architecture. 10 kms west
of Bhubaneswar are the Udaigiri Caves, which were occupied
by the Buddhist monks as early as the 2nd century BC. Overnight

Day 05 BHUBANESWAR-
KONARK-PURI (56 Kms/ 2 Hrs) |
Morning
After breakfast depart by surface to Puri,
en-route visiting Dhauli and Pipli villages, then
visit Konark (SunTemple).Dhauli is
where Mauryan Emperor Ashoka the Great, renounced
bloody warfare and embraced the teachings of Buddha
after victory over kingdom of Kalinga. We visit the
Peace Pagoda known as the Shanti Stupa built in early
1970 by Japanese. We also stop at two ancient rock
edicts, today eclipsed by the presence of the Pagoda.
Dating from 260 BC they outline Ashoka's detailed

instructions
to his administrators to rule with gentleness and fairness.
The sculpted elephant atop the edict signifiesthe Mauryan
Emperor Ashoka's conversion to Buddhism after his Kalinga
victory. Our next stop is the colorful village of Pipili
where we can see Orissan Handicrafts, the specialty
is appliqué work. |
Afternoon drive to Konark (45 km).
In Konark, visit to the Temple - Chariot of The Sun God,
built by King Langula Narasimha Deva in the thirteenth century
A.D. in the golden era of Orissan art. This crowning piece
of Orissan architecture and sculpture is sheer poetry in
stone. Everyday the Sun rises from the lap of the blue ocean
close by and casts its first gentle rays on the sanctum
sanctorum and then circles the temple during the course
of the day, illuminating the three magnificent images of
the morning Sun, the mid-day sun and the setting sun. Overnight
at the hotel in Puri.
Day 06 IN
PURI
Morning sightseeing tour of the Puri. Puri
is one of the four most important pilgrimage centre for
Hindus. we visit the Jagannath temple of Puri. The temple
of Lord Jagannath (God Vishnu), who is considered the preserver
of the world in Hinduism, attracts thousands on feast every
day, particularly at the time of 'Rath Yatra' (the car festival).
The Jagannath temple is also referred as the white Pagoda
and it accommodates 5000 priests in its premises. It's an
experience to observe the activities of the pilgrims visiting
this unique temple. It is one of the most sacred temples
in India.
Day 07 PURI-
CHILKA LAKE- GOPALPUR-On Sea (200 Km/ 5 Hrs.)
Morning after break fast depart to Gopalpur en-route visiting
Chilka Lake, famous for bird sanctuary. The Chilka Lake
takes us through scenic countryside and attractive villages.
Chilka lies in the heart of coastal Orissa. The pear-shaped
lake, spread over 1,100 sq km, is Asia's largest inland
salt-water lagoon. It is dotted with small islands and has
an impressive array of bird life, both native and migrant.
White bellied sea eagles, greylag geese, purple moorhen,
jacana, herons and flamingos are among the many species
which make the lake a bird watcher's delight. Chilka, in
fact, is home to one of the world's largest breeding colonies
of flamingos. Other than the birds, Chilka's shores are
home to blackbuck, spotted deer, golden jackals and hyenas,
and the lake is rich in aquatic life- its waters harbour
around 160 species of fish, crustaceans and other marine
creatures, including the famous Chilka dolphin. Prawn, crab
and mackerel fishing are an important source of livelihood
for the local people, and hundreds of small fishing boats
set sail each morning to bring in the day's catch from the
lake.
Afterwards we will drive to Gopalpur
on Sea, an ancient sea port not often visited by tourists.
Sand dunes, groves of coconut palm and casuarinas separate
the small town from the beach. Upon arrival check-in hotel

Day 08 GOPALPUR- RAYAGADA
Morning after breakfast depart to Rayagada enroute visiting
the Langia Saora tribal village. Soura are one of the oldest
known tribes of Orissa. They are doing shifting cultivation.
The ceremonies and festivals of the Saoras are the occasions
when the social bonds are commented. The Saoras also practice
both sororate and levirate forms of marriage, i.e., a man
can marry his deceased wife’s younger sister and woman
can marry her deceased husband’s younger brother.
They are very famous for their wall paintings known as IKONS.

Day 09 IN RAYAGADA
Morning visit of Tumudi Bandh to see the Kotgad tribal market
and village to see the Kutia Kondh tribes. Overnight at
the hotel. (Market only on TUESDAY)
Day 10 RAYAGADA- JEYPORE
Morning after breakfast depart to Jeypore enroute visiting
Dongariya Kondh Tribal Market at Chatikona. Dongariya Kondh
is a very primitive tribe. They live in the top of the mountain.
And they are doing the shifting cultivation. (Market only
on WEDNESDAY). Upon arrival chech in at the hotel. Overnight
at the hotel.
Day
11 IN JEYPORE
Morning after breakfast depart to Onukadeli
to visit Bonda & Gadaba Tribal Market. The Bondos
are one of them and hills on which they live are called
Bondo Hills. Once they were regarded as a criminal
tribe among the tribes of Orissa. Their language is
called “Remo” which comes under Austro
Asiatic language. They get opportunity to establish
intimacy with marriageable girls and select their
sweet hearts. The Gadabas are one of the very primitive
and colourful tribes of Orissa. The Gadabas build
their houses in two rows facing each other with some
broad way left

The economic life of the Gadabas mainly
center on agriculture.

Day 12 JEYPORE-
VISAKHAPATNAM
Morning after breakfast depart to Gupteswar to visit the
Dhuruba tribal village and drive to Visakhapatnam. Afternoon
visit Koraput. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 IN VISAKHAPATNAM
After breakfast excursion to see the Parab Tribal Festival
in Koraput. Evening return for overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 IN VISAKHAPATNAM
Morning sightseeing tour of Visakhapatnam. Among
some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour
are Indira Gandhi Zoological park,Simhachalam Tempel, I
N A Kurusura Submarine, Ramakrishna Beach etc. Overnight
at hotel.
Day 15 VISAKHAPATNAM
– DELHI
Depature transfer to Domestic airport to board flight to
Delhi. assistance upon arrival transfer to International
airport to board flight to back to home.
