The Pushkar Festival in Rajasthan, popularly known as an event "truly a fest for the eyes' and "the Biggest and unforgettable experience" by various print and electronic media, is an enchanting and colourful event not to be missed. Thousands of devotees throng around the Lake on full moon day in October-November to take a holy dip in the lake. This small town is transformed into a spectacular fair ground, as rows of make shift stalls display an entire range of objects of art to daily utility stuff. Decoration items for Cattle, Camel and women, everything is sold together. Small handicraft items are the best bargain for buying souvenir. The Camel and Horse races have crowds to cheer. Camel judging competitions are quite popular with animal lovers. Each evening brings different folk dances and music of Rajasthan, performers delivering live shows to the roaring and applauding crowds. Day 1 DELHI
Welcome to India ! Meeting and assistance upon arrival at the airport by RIV-IFT representative and transfer to hotel. Later sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi . Among some of the most interesting highlights of your city tour of Old and New Delhi are the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat in the old city area and the Government Buildings , a drive through the majestic Rajpath to the India Gate, the Humayun's Tomb and the Qutab Minar etc. Overnight at the hotel. |

Day 2 DELHI- AGRA
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Agra and upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra city which includes: Agra Fort built by Emperor Akbar over the years 1565 - 1573 with its maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers. Most of the buildings originally built by Akbar were destroyed and were replaced by his grandson Shah Jehan. The only surviving structure from Akbar's period apart from the solid sand stone ramparts and the gateway is the Jehangir Mahal. It is the biggest private residence in the complex and its architecture indicates strong influences from Hindu overtones. Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan, this beautiful mausoleum is built of pure white marble and is an architectural marvel. Built in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. The building was conceived as a garden tomb with the mausoleum rising at the far end of the complex with the river Yamuna flowing below. Beneath the dome are the cenotaphs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jehan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 AGRA - FATEHPUR SIKRI - JAIPUR
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Jaipur (240 Kms/7 hrs approx.) en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital of Mughal India . Among the principal attractions of Fatehpur Sikri are the large audience halls, palaces, the Mosques, the tomb of Salim Chishti, The Panchmahal, and the Buland Darwaza, Which is among the biggest gates in Asia. Upon arrival check - in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 IN JAIPUR
Morning after early breakfast, excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir of the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali . Take a ride on Gaily decorated elephant to the ramparts of the Fort. Later sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Among the principal sights are the Jantar Mantar of the Observatory, The Palace of Winds or Hawa Mahal, the City Palace & Museum. Jaipur is also a major center of precious and semi precious stones, jewellery, cotton textiles and the typical Blue Pottery. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 JAIPUR-PUSHKAR
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Pushkar , which is the home to one of just two Brahma Temples in the country (the other being in Goa ). Brahma was cursed by his wife because of which, he is worshipped nowhere else in India . While temples to Vishnu and Shiva abound, the third of the trinity goes unrecognized. Legend has it that at Pushkar, where a lotus fell from Brahma's hands, a lake sprang up, and so here Brahma is worshipped. At the heart of Pushkar is the Brahma Temple , made from marble, with Brahma's vehicle, the turtle, cast in silver at its entrance. At the booth of the temple is the Lake surrounded by bathing Ghats . Here you can sit and meditate while the faithful take a dip. Evening proceed to the Pushkar Fair Ground to see various cultural and fair activities. Overnight at the Camp.
Day 06 IN PUSHKAR - The Spectacular Pushkar Fair
Breakfast at the Camp. Rest of the day to see various cultural and trading activities at the Pushkar Fair. F rom a mere 14,000 to a massive 200,000! This is how the population of Pushkar swells during the Pushkar Fair. A spotlight of one's Indian holiday, the festival hosts around 50,000 camels which are sold, decorated, shaved and raced. The show goes on for a whole week as travelers continue to join in the fun, which includes a number of cultural competitions . Overnight at the Camp. |

Day 07 PUSHKAR- UDAIPUR
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Udaipur . Upon arrival check-in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 IN UDAIPUR
Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur . Among the places visited are the City Palace - a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake. A conglomeration of courtyards, pavilions, terraces, corridors, rooms and hanging gardens. The main entrance is through the Triple arched gate "Tripolia" with eight marble porticos; the Jagdish temple- built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh, this Indo - Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple of Udaipur with note worthy sculpted images; the Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, which houses an interesting collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, paintings etc; the Saheliyon ki Bari with its many fountains etc. A highlight of your trip to Udaipur is a sunset boat cruise on the beautiful placid Lake Pichola . The lake is surrounded by hills, palaces including the beautiful city palace, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. There are two island palaces, The Jagmandir and Jagniwas and also the beautiful Lake Palace sits on an island in this lake. Boat rides, which originate from the City Palace jetty (known as Bansi Ghat), are a popular way of exploring the natural beauty of Udaipur . Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09 UDAIPUR-JODHPUR
Morning departure by surface to Jodhpur en route visiting Ranakpur Jain Temples built in the 15 th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surrounding is quite and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures and beautiful sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple different from each other. The magic of light and shade is awe-inspiring. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jodhpur city. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Later visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memoriam built in 1899 and the museum located in the Umaid Public Gardens . Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 JODHPUR- JAISALMER
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival check-in hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 IN JAISALMER
Morning after breakfast City tour of Jaisalmer - the last citadel in the desert. The Golden fort of Jaisalmer used to be a regular scheduled stop for the caravans plying on the ancient silk route, and was a major trading centre. Visit the Golden Fort, built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal and is situated on 76 m high Triangular mound. Jain Temples , Gadisar Lake , Folk Museum , Havelis, Bara Bagh-Cenotaphs built amidst gardens, Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes, situated 45 kms west of Jaisalemr, with cluster of Sand Dunes. These Dunes varying in size from 3 to 15 kms to a large extent are of shifting sands where wind heaps and the sand into hills or deep hollow scopes. Enjoy the sun set in the evening with its changing colours in desert and take a short Camel ride. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 JAISALMER-BIKANER
Morning after breakfast departure by surface to Bikaner . Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Bikaner city. The tour of Bikaner starts with a visit to Junagarh Fort built by Raja Rai Singh, a General in the army of Emperor Akbar. See the marvels in architecture intricate carvings on red sand stone, some of the finest collections of Armory Golden Work and also raised lacquer work with glass inlay etc. Also visit Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, the best museum in Rajasthan having a vast collection of rate exhibits covering almost every period of Indian history. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 BIKANER - MANDAWA
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Mandawa . Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon city tour Mandawa, a small town has many havelis and temples. The terrace of the rugged fort provides a panoramic view of the town. See the extraordinary frescoes on the walls of the houses. Overnight at the hotel. |

DAY 14 MANDAWA - DELHI
Morning after breakfast, departure by surface to Delhi . Upon arrival departure transfer to International airport to board flight back home.
